Northwest Illinois Development Alliance (NIDA)
NIDA is a not-for-profit corporation, creating a public/private partnership to retain, expand and diversify the economic base of the Freeport/ Stephenson County and Northwest Illinois area.  The LEDC has recently been cooperating with NIDA on the issue of developing economic incentives and business retention in Illinois’s Northwest region.  The LEDC has also recently been incorporated as a voting member of NIDA.

Blackhawk Hills Resource Conservation & Development Area (RC&D)
The RC&D is a not-for-profit group promoting economic development and opportunity in the Northwest Region of Illinois.  The LEDC is working with the RC&D on finding funding sources for infrastructure issues that will help promote business and industry expansion in the Village of Lena.  The LEDC is also acting a one of two representatives for the RC&D for Stephenson County.

Tri-State Alliance
By joining forces with other like minded communities, the Alliance hopes to bring a regional focus on vital issues like transportation and economic development.  If our region is to grow and prosper we need to speak with one voice about what our priorities are.  The Alliance believes that developing a competitive infrastructure is key to participating in the global economy.  The Alliance is a group of commerce, government and business leaders that advocate and strengthen northern Illinois’ ability to participate in the global supply chain.
