“Our decision to begin construction in Lena back in 2001 was made in part because of the location, resources and incentives available to us in the area. We were able to fulfill our goal of hiring locally because of the quality of the local workforce available in Lena. Adkins employs 32 full time employees from the Lena area in various technical and administrative positions and has indirectly created many other opportunities for local residents in areas such as trucking, service, and construction. We are proud to call Lena our home."

“Effective collaboration begins with community leaders that have a vision for their community and realize their success is dependent upon their working well with other stakeholders in the business, academic, civic and governmental community. The Village of Lena’s community leadership “gets it;” we have been working with them for the past year to implement a shared economic development vision, strategy and aligned annual action plans. ”
