Located at 881 N. Schuyler St. (Hwy 73 N) in Lena (IL), Oellerich Landscaping and Garden Center is a family owned business that strives to provide quality products and services.

Husband and wife team, Curt & Lisa Oellerich have been in the landscaping business more than 15 years. While Curt handles the large retaining wall projects that are our specialty, Lisa handles the day-to-day staffing of the garden center and most of the design and planting projects.

The landscape side of the business ranges from small seeding projects to massive native limestone retaining walls. A general list of the type of projects we can do is listed below:
· Large and small retaining walls of native limestone and Versa-Lok block
· Paver and limestone patios and sidewalks
· Cut stone raised flower beds
· Specialty excavation in tight spaces
· Lawn seeding and sod installation
· Design and installation
The specialty of the garden center is bulk mulch in a variety of colors and textures. Mulch may be loaded into customer trucks or trailers, or delivered. Current mulch colors are red, gold, chocolate brown, natural shredded and double ground chip. Additionally, there is a selection of bagged mulches, soils and composts available.

We also offer trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals that are suited to our region. Our trees and shrubs nearly all come from southern Michigan to ensure hardiness for our region. Perennials and annuals come from greenhouses near Rockford that provide excellent products.

While very few plantings are maintenance-free, we offer a large selection of lower-maintenance type plant products. We have found that most customers do not want to spend a lot of time caring for their landscaping; they want to spend their time enjoying it. We strive to offer as many plant products as possible, but we do screen out products that have either not performed well at the garden center or once planted and do not carry them.

The garden center is open April 1 to November 1 – Hours vary by season.
